From 54 Google clicks to 2,900, the same weeks a year apart
The business
A local business that takes bookings online and has a busy season and a quiet one. We handle its search work. It is not a vet clinic or any other kind of health care, we don't name it, and both screenshots are cropped so the site can't be recognized. Vet clinics are new for us, and this is the plainest before and after we have.
The starting point
Between 2022 and 2025 the site published 22 articles. From August 2025 through February 2026, its article pages brought in 111 clicks from Google search.
The change
Starting in February 2026, new articles went up every month. Each one answered a search people nearby were already making, with the place and the occasion in its title. By October 20 there were about 170 of them. That many pages made sense for this business; a clinic needs far fewer, as the last section explains.
The result
Over August 1 to October 20, the article pages drew 2,900 clicks in 2026 and 54 in 2025. Between March 1 and October 20, 2026, they drew 13,400 clicks and 1.11 million impressions.
The limits
A click is a visit from Google, not a customer, and we don't share this business's bookings or revenue. The high stretch from April to early July comes mostly from holiday articles, which climb before each date and drop away after it. What happened for one business doesn't predict what will happen for yours.
For a vet clinic
A clinic needs far fewer pages: one for each kind of visit and one for each town you serve, each approved by a veterinarian at the practice before it goes up. The method carries over as it is: learn what people nearby already search for, write the page that answers it, and use Google's own data to check whether it is being found.
Ask for a ranking check on your clinic
Email the clinic's name and town. The check is free and usually arrives within two business days.
